Today I want to post about content and how important it is to separate your content around.
Why? Google (and other search engines) make changes that can ultimately effect your rankings. I had a client site just the other day that has a site that is mainly made up of user submitted content. It was getting spammed quite a lot which led to a message from Google about possible removal due to poor quality. Unfortunately, all of their links were removed from Google.
Luckily this site was more of a hobby site, not related to their core business, however, could your business cope with being delisted from Google? What can you do to get it back in there?

The first thing you have to do is to figure out why Google has delisted you and make the necessary changes to get back.
It could be possible that your site has malware on it, malicious scripts designed to redirect and infect your visitors computers with viruses. You can find out if it is malware from Google’s webmaster tools.
The next step, is to request reconsideration.
Fill in as much detail as possible. If someone else has done the damage, be quick to point the finger as Google does not enjoy looking over sites where the webmaster has simply not read the policies. You then have to play the waiting game.
Hopefully you get your site back in there. Either way you have learned a valuable lesson – separate content.
Having two or more similar websites will help your business ride the storm. A few days being removed from Google index could be enough to sink some online businesses.
Get a second website today
I highly recommend, if you don’t already have a second website, you should consider it immediately. A second website could be SEO focused to target a certain product or service rather than your core business.
This means not only will you be covering yourself if something happens to your site you may find it has the advantage of getting quite a lot of extra traffic and result in many more sales.
